How counselling works

A gentle, collaborative structure

Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and support emotional stability. This may shift to bi-weekly or more flexible spacing over time. There is no fixed timeline – we work at a pace that feels appropriate for you.

Scope of practice

If your needs fall outside of my scope, I’ll discuss this with you openly and may refer you to an appropriate mental health professional.

01 Intake Session

The first session is an intake where we explore your background, current challenges, and goals for counselling.

02 Collaborative work

From there, we work together at a pace that feels manageable and supportive for you.

03 Closing session

When counselling comes to an end, a closing session provides space to reflect on progress and bring the process to a thoughtful conclusion.
